Special Evening - Millennium Celebrations.

In recognition of the tremendous contribution South African amateurs have made to the field of Astronomy we are holding a very special evening, with talks by some prominent Astronomers.

This glittering evening is going to be the most important event of the new millennium (or the last of the old millennium, depending on which view you subscribe to).  But certainly an evening NOT TO BE MISSED.

A light finger supper will be served before the start of proceedings

Your invitations were sent out with the Canopus - however, if not received, you can still ring Tracy or Monique on 484-4740 ( office hours ) to confirm your presence - remember, the invitation is to you and your partner.

Time: 19:00 for 19:30

Where : At the Observatory,  by the 26" Dome
( at the bottom of the hill ).
