The End is Nigh

In the year 1348 the doctors at the University of Paris declared that the plague is caused by "a triple conjunction of Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars in the 40th degree of Aquarius."

. . . . .(Such medical hypotheses gave rise to the advice, "Get a second opinion").

What dreadful events await the world next month (May 2000) when all 5 of the major planets are in conjunction with the sun? A quick look at the planetary tables for the year shows Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn all within a few degrees of the sun in May, stretching into June. Unfortunately they will all be too close to the sun to be visible, otherwise it would have been quite a spectacular sight. So if you catch the flu this winter you know why. Of course you could always go to your doctor for a second opinion.
