Editorial

Spring has finally arrived - together with some cloudy nights.  We have had a relatively cloudless Winter this past year with some really good viewing, and the pleasure of warmer nights must be tinged with a small modicum of apprehension at the potential of cloudy nights over the next five or six months.

Please keep the articles rolling in - remember, we are dependant on you to keep up the standard of our magazine

Contributing ( as usual ) this month, Bill Wheaton writes on SIRTIF and Eben van Zyl has written an interesting piece on Quasars.   Danie has supplied us with a variable of the month and is himself the subject of our ASSA Personality Profile, edited by Val Fraser.  This month's puzzle from Lori puts a new twist on the term "Star-Hopping".

We are repeating the call for subs for the last time in this issue - for those who haven't yet paid up, this will be your last copy of CANOPUS.  If you have not yet received a renewal form, please contact a committee member as soon as possible.

Chris and Ray.
