Letters to the Editors

Most letters to the editors this month have been requests for membership…the most common query being "what do I need to do to become a member?"

Here are a couple selected from our eMail:

• We are very interested to become members of your association. Could you please let us know what we have to do.

• Hallo,

Could you please tell me more about ASSA or where I can obtain more information?

* How to join?

* Contact information?

I would really appreciate any feedback as I do not know where else to find the required info!

Our normal response is to send a short precis of our activities and subscription fees and to advise the person making the query to go browse the website for additional information including an application form. We also advise them to get in touch with a committee member to if they need further information, or just to hand in their application and subscription fees.

We occasionally receive a follow up message ( or reply ) along these lines:-

• Hi xxxxxxx,

Thank you for the quick reply!

I will visit your website and have a look!

What is gratifying is that many new members are actually joining after making eMail contact as a result of seeing our Website.

With this latter sentiment in mind, any ideas for improving our Website will be welcomed - so any of you out there with artistic ideas - please let us have them.
