Nicknamed Star City by Dave Gordon. An impressive open cluster in Carina. An eyepiece sprinkled with white stars from edge to edge. Like viewing a city from the air at night. Nicknamed Chinese Lantern by Mary MacKinnon. A second Jewel Box with a multitude of colours and dark lines traversing through the outer edges. 08h09, -47 20; Interesting double 08h45, -54 53; Interesting double Cats Paw nebula in LMC. Near Tarantula nebulae. Have not determined NGC number yet despite numerous attempts with Uranometria Tarantula nebulae. Crystal clear and with Daves Oxygen III filter the lanes are open and diverse. Globular cluster in Aquilla Globular cluster in Aquilla Globular cluster within M7 in Scorpius a difficult object to find from suburbia but an easy catch this evening. Polarisma australis. (A/B) None of the three galaxies close to the SCP were visible Large planetary in Corvus. Highly visible. SMC. Superb viewing despite proximity to the horizon Beautiful, bright and teaming with pure-white stars Omega Centaurus. What can I say! Jewel box. Wow! The assortment of colour is really only well defined in truly dark skies. Also the number of visible light points increases thousand fold. Small asterism in Sagitta called the coat hanger. Lovely to view in binoculars The dumbbell nebulae in Vulpecula The Sculptor Galaxy in Sculptor. Fills the entire eyepiece and then some. Very clear with spiral being face on. With "Night Sky Observers Guide" worked through Sagittarius, Coma Berenices, Aquila and Delphinius. Globular cluster in Scutum Helix nebulae in Aquarius. Massive nebulosity Saturn nebulae is small compact nebulae within Aquarius Interesting asterism that makes a T out of stars. Spiral Galaxy face on in Hydra. Fantastic sighting Sombrero Galaxy in Corvus. Large and bright with dust lane clearly defined. Open cluster in Ara. Superb nebulosity within the cluster creating depth. Faint open cluster with nebulosity in Ara. Seems to increase in size with time. Syfert Galaxy over 100 million light years away. Barely discernible. Open cluster with nebulosity within Pavo. Stunning! Face on spiral galaxy. Faint but with very clear delineation. Selected double stars from favourites in Kepples research list. Selected double stars from favourites in Kepples research list.
